The Bicycle Doctor, LLC ("we", "us") repairs and services bicycles, with pickup and return. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and pickup and return address.
  • Your bicycles and service: make, model, serial number, photos, the work you request, estimates, work performed and service history.
  • Payment status: whether and how a job was paid. Card payments are handled by Square; we do not receive or store your card number.
  • Your My Garage account, if you have one: your sign-in email and password (stored encrypted).
  • Messages you send us, including questions you ask in the Ask Scott chat on our website.
  • Basic website usage information collected through cookies and similar tools, such as pages visited.

How we use it

  • To schedule pickups and returns, service your bicycle, send estimates for your approval, and take payment.
  • To contact you about your service by email, and by text message if you agreed to receive texts.
  • To send a request for a review after a job, and a reminder when your bicycle may be due for service. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions, keep business and tax records, and keep our website secure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need: Calendly (booking pickups), Square (payments), our email and phone/text message providers (delivering messages), OpenAI (answering questions typed into the Ask Scott chat), Google (website analytics), and our website hosting. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Text messages

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our Text Message Terms.

How long we keep it

We keep service and payment records for as long as we need them to service your bicycles and to meet tax and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Your choices

  • Ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing service@bicycledoc.com.
  • Stop review requests and service reminders with the unsubscribe link in those emails.
  • Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
