Scott Mosko
Owner · Head Mechanic · Certified Fitter

A former mountain bike and road racer, Scott developed an understanding of performance bicycles from both the rider’s and mechanic’s perspective. While earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, he worked as a mechanic in several of Atlanta’s leading bicycle shops, developing the technical skills and attention to detail that would later define The Bicycle Doctor.
After ten years in the engineering field, Scott returned to cycling professionally and opened The Bicycle Doctor retail store in 2007, building on a mobile bicycle service he had operated for years before that.
Today, The Bicycle Doctor has returned to a more personal model: specialized, appointment-based service performed directly by Scott. His focus is simple—provide meticulous, high-end bicycle service without the compromises of a high-volume repair environment.
A Different Approach
The Bicycle Doctor is no longer a traditional retail bicycle shop. There is no service counter, no production-line repair queue, and no pressure to move as many bicycles through the shop as possible.
Instead, Scott accepts a limited number of service appointments and personally performs the work on every bicycle. From pickup and evaluation through repair, adjustment, final inspection, and return delivery, you know exactly who is working on your bike.
This allows each bicycle to receive the time, care, and attention appropriate to the equipment—and to the rider who depends on it.
Experience You Can Trust
Scott brings decades of hands-on bicycle experience to every service appointment, including extensive work with road, mountain, gravel, and other performance-oriented bicycles. His background includes bicycle repair, custom bicycle assembly, wheel building, suspension service, troubleshooting, and professional bicycle fitting.

An Engineer’s Approach to Bicycle Service
Scott’s approach to bicycle service is shaped not only by decades of mechanical experience, but also by his background in engineering, technology, and teaching.
He holds:
- Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering – Georgia Institute of Technology
- Master of Science, Electrical Engineering – Georgia Institute of Technology
- Master of Science, Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) – Georgia Institute of Technology
In addition to The Bicycle Doctor, Scott maintains an active professional career in technology and higher education. He works as a developer at Georgia Tech and teaches graduate courses at both Georgia Tech and Johns Hopkins University.
That technical background carries directly into the workshop: careful diagnosis, methodical problem-solving, attention to tolerances, and an insistence on understanding why something is not performing correctly rather than simply replacing parts.
Limited by Design
The Bicycle Doctor is intentionally not a high-volume repair operation. Appointments are limited so that Scott can personally perform the work and give each bicycle the attention it deserves.
For customers, that means something increasingly uncommon in bicycle service: the person you entrust with your bicycle is the same person evaluating it, servicing it, inspecting it, and returning it to you. Whether the job is routine maintenance, resolving a difficult mechanical problem, building a custom wheel, or completing a full frame-up rebuild, the standard remains the same.
Built on Precision
The Bicycle Doctor combines decades of cycling experience, professional mechanical training, and an engineer’s attention to detail.
Performance. Reliability. Craftsmanship.
